Tavona has been with Pepper since September 2012, and in that time he has held a variety of roles, including responsibility for treasury and funding, mergers and acquisitions, and principal credit investments. He has been instrumental in Pepper Advantage’s buy-and-build asset strategy in Europe and has a broad experience in buying and optimising non-bank lending platforms, and credit portfolios.
Today, Tavona is in charge of making credit investments in support of Pepper Advantage’s servicing activities across all its jurisdictions, ensuring that investment are made in line with a coherent strategy for capital consumption. The goal is to use our credit investments to generate recurring loan servicing and asset management revenue, as well as to provide deal sourcing, due diligence and advisory services in support of investor capital deployment.
Following a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science and Metallurgical Engineering from the University of British Colombia, Canada, and an MBA in Finance from London Business School, Tavona worked at Merrill Lynch and UBS for over a decade, where he managed lending platforms across a number of asset classes and jurisdictions. He has key expertise in structured finance, asset purchase and investment and operational partnerships.
